Sessions

I offer one-to-one conversations as a place to think things through out loud and arrive at a clearer sense of where you stand.

Things often become more straightforward than they first appear when given enough space and attention.

I think people are already capable of making sense of their own lives.

Most of the time, something simply becomes obscured—in language, in thought, or in the way a situation is being held.

You can be wrong about something without anything being wrong with you. You can be uncertain without being incoherent. You can be misunderstood without losing your own sense of things.

My role is to listen closely and work with what is being said.

Sometimes that means reflecting something back, sometimes questioning an assumption, and sometimes remaining with a thought a little longer than is comfortable or habitual.

I don’t offer advice or direct people towards particular outcomes. The work is simply to help what is already present become clearer, more precise, and more workable in language.

You don’t need to prepare anything beforehand or arrive in a particular way. We begin wherever you happen to be and work from there.

Clarity tends to emerge through the conversation itself—usually gradually, as something becomes easier to articulate and therefore easier to live with.

These sessions are often useful for people who are not looking to be advised, coached, or fixed, but who want space to think carefully and speak without pressure. They are not a substitute for clinical or therapeutic support.

It isn’t a system or a method so much as something that has developed through years of conversation, reading, writing, and staying closely with the lives and work of other people.
